Going to hit Pool4 this Sat, hopefully doing a bit of bow fishing, but will bring the rod and reels along too.

Sounds like the walleyes and sauger are in the main channel and trolling Pepin is one place to try.
Just wondering if the crappies will be in the backwaters now?
    Or??

Last weekend I caught some monster Crappies on Pool 2 in the backwaters while bass fishing. I sure hope they are still back there. I want to go back this weekend with crappie gear and put the hammer down on a few and see if I can get a few to mount. We to are also going to bring the bow and shoot some carp. Best of luck to you !!!!

Great, we’ll launch out of Evert’s, maybe look for a black Alumacraft Tourny Sport with a old fart running it and say hi.
Water might be a bit dirty to see carp, but we’ll bring a bow along anyway.
    Thanks.

Made it to pool 4 and fished most the day, hit the backwaters and caught a few fish, also caught a few running the main channel, unfortnately they were white bass and sheepshead, while not the crappies or walleye/saugers we were looking for, at least they were fish.

Did have something hit that was pretty good size, ran off line like it was headed for pool 5, but it got off, maybe a cat or something, but was fun for a bit.

Other than being very windy, we had a great day.
