Pool 4 Newbie

I have always wanted to get up to Pool 4 for some fishing but for one reason or another I have not made it yet.

I am now planning on hitting it Saturday 4-24-10. We (my Dad and my brother … at least I think I have them talked into it) would be leaving at 3am Saturday morning and are scheduled to return home that night. Target species would be walleyes and saugers but if there is a hot bite of another species going we are certainly open to that.

I realize that any day spent fishing is a good day but having said that, is this a good day for my first attempt?

What cookies work the best for getting the most useful information out of Dean? May have to have a bake-off this week.

At present,the bite has been darn tough for most,but with that said,some dang nice fish were caught this weekend by a handfull of anglers. The trolling bite appears to be heating up as reported by some of the diehard leadcore folks.A bunch can change between now and the end of the week.Someone is always on a pool4 bite!

I think the weather foreast may have scared me off. It’s always something. One of these days I’ll make it up there. Going to try something a little closer to home this weekend.
