I called the city today and she said that the gate may be open…… could not tell me 100%. I heard from someone else that the gate was open last night. If someone heads down please post so we don’t have to waste the gas to drive there with the boat.

They were just cleaning up the parking lot a HF’s with the street sweepers so it should be ready.
Still lots of stuff floating on the river so be careful!

A front-en loader was scraping up the mud at 494 when I took another look 1/2 an hour ago. So 494 should be in better shape. Just remember kids about the concrete divider between the ramps just under the water.

Marty and I launched at 494 this morning and as anticipated it took a little wading in water up to our shins. But it was no problem. Marty got one drum for our efforts; but it was nice to get out there again!

Thanks DD. How is the situation with the debris? Still coming down?

Took the boy and our bikes down to lillydale. The city was fixing potholes and hauling mudd away. The launch is still muddy. But the city worker said they should have it cleaned up today. Hopefully be opened on Monday or Tuesday.

    Hey guys,

I am heading out at 2:30 from hidden falls. I have a open seat and would love to take someone out so I could get some help launching. Text me before 2 if you are interested.

Some brush and an occaisional tree floating down. We noticed several cans missing from their normal positions. Could not tell if they moved or are submerged waiting to eat up a prop.

As usual for this time of year, DO NOT run full throttle as there are many hazards you may not be able to see.

    Wear your life jackets!!!

As for the fishing…water temps in the mid-40’s and current seams set up very nicely. DD and I believe the fish will be more active during the middle part of the day…it was quite cold when we launched at 6AM and still chilly when we had to pull off at 9AM. Some spots you will need 3/8 oz or heavier jigs while other places you can get by with 3/16 oz. Pays to have rods set up for both strong and less strong current.

For us this AM, 3 hours to get it done after a month off the water just isn’t enough time to put a pattern together.

Will definitely be back this weekend
