It’s been a long time for flows like this. All of the gates were pulled at lock and dam 4 this AM. Here is the reading tonight (99100). 100,000 may happen soon.

Anyone know if they open all the gates in the system? I am wondering if they will open St. Anthony Falls like last year. That was the only year I know of that they did it.

i must have counted 20-30 trees floating down the lake yesterday on my way home. those were just the giant ones i could see. going to be a scarry spring running everything for the first time….

It was kind of cool yesterday running upstream, seeing the huge trees and rootballs coming downstream… A few of the cans looked to be totally underwater…. Tons of small junk in the water.

Be careful of the hard-to-see ice chunks, though… I only saw a few, but I sure would hate to hit any of them….

Good luck next time you get out and be safe….

A submerged can would be a disaster! I was worried about hitting one last weekend.

Keep an eye open for them. I saw 4 submerged cans on Sunday. Plus a couple others have been moved. Who knows where they are now that it’s getting close to cresting.
