To the best of my knowledge….as of Monday March 22

Everts Resort…still functional but very limited parking.

Baypoint….still iced in..could be a day or two or a week?

Coville… does have barricades as a pre-caution but is open and probably the best option overall at this point.

Wi Backchannel….use at your own risk..no dock, levels near parking lot.

Bay City is open and useable as of today.

Our baitshop is accessable for now by land and water,we appreciate everyones support and will do our best to keep ya posted on river conditions. Overall, bite is spotty, for those who understand and focus on slack water areas, results are much more positive than those who dont.

Proceed with caution as reports of debris come & go at random, assume debris is present and navigate slow. Please make sure all passengers are looking out for the driver. Please be advised that your boat wake is significantly more damaging during these high water times.

I am not trying to tell people not to fish……but I would rather have you error on the side of caution. From a business side of this, high water stinks, but as a fisherman chasing the fish of a lifetime….high water fishin is awesome!

    Dean,

Thanks for the update. Always a tricky thing this time of the year as it impacts the “water based” businesses.

Care to give any predictions on access if the water does rise that extra 2-3 feet they are calling for by the end of the week?

    Thanks again,
    Dave

STILLWATER 1215 100322 — MNDOT and city officials are meeting at the St/Croix lift bridge where level is @ 684.11 and rising about 1/2 in. an hour–same as water in nephew’s channel of Mississippi Pool 3 at Newport where water came up Sunday afternoon over numbers in a big round thermometer on side of his boathouse, which frequently floods–about 3 inches in approx 4 hours. Word was the Ford Dam had been opened up to relieve pressure upstream.
At Newport Sunday, DNR floating dock at Lions Park was under water and river was up close to bottom of signs at launch. Footbridge to island going fast.
Sandbag filling at Stillwater has stopped for now and the city has lots of full bags on pallets for plastic over clay and concrete temporary levee.
Folks here also reporting ice jam up behind the Taylors Falls dam and that pool 3 could go up as much as three more feet above Sunday levels. Water is definitely flowing upstream at Stillwater bridge.
Wondering what it looks like at Prescott and Kinni. For you Grumpy Old Guys, the Gazebo in the background in the movie wedding scene has become a flooded Moosylvania on the border waters. Last reported fishing boat went under the bridge Sunday afternoon–just a little more than a foot of clearance now.

The good news is,the past 3 days, projected crests have been lowered significantly. Once the ice goes out at Baypoint, access should improve greatly. However,Mother nature supecedes any of my or others predictions and subject to change.

We put in in bay city yesterday and it was very useable! Hopefully this will help out with your congestion for a few days until things get back to normal. They were also putting in at Colvill this am also.

We are still functional, parking is very limited.Bite overall, slow for most.Of course,a few guys always seem to put together a bite.Debris appears to be much less. The guys sitting in front of the TV got skunked!

    PS….

I understand Coville is shut down,Baypoint still frozen.WI backchannel, useable, but use at your own risk.Baycity, still going last I heard.
