    All of the tainter gates are now completely out of the water at lock and dam 2,the debris is really comming down now (as if it wasn’t before) but it’s as far as you can see

    already hit hard this season major whack on the SS prop, killed the 175 limped back>loaded~checked and the prop had wobble!Bent shaft and major dig in prop. Me and insurance are fixing it now

    Maybe you’ll come to your senses and get rid of the “unforgiving” stainless steel props , because when you ding those it usually means a lower unit issue. Go Aluminum and fix a prop instead of your lower unit!

    i never did understand the ss prop on a river! in high water or low water i guess for some people its an excuse to spend money on lower units and bent shafts and the marina’s like them to

    Huh, that’s funny about all the mistruths flying around on this post about the SS props being the ENEMY of boat motors. That is pure BS plain and simple. I wouldn’t run anything but a stainless prop and more times than not I was glad to have it instead of an aluminum.
    I have hit stumps, dead heads, wingdams, and other things with my SS and NEVER bent a shaft or even remotely damaged a lower unit.
    Why is it because somebody hit something and did damage to the lower unit, it is always the props fault?

    I’d feel crazy nuts to try and run the river without stainless.
    Not saying those of you who do are crazy nuts tho.

    we run nothing but stainless on these….and have never bent a propshaft. busted one clean off though?…yes…

    seriously though, i would not think twice about running stainless on the river.

    I’m guessing your prop doesn’t have a hub on it…

    I agree with the thumbs up for ss, instead of replaceing/repairing a alum prop every other year and grinding it down in the sand.

    SS all the way on my 40 with the fish/duck boat and with the 90 on our pontoon.
