Anybody know if they’re launching out of Prescott yet? When do things usually get going down that way?

    thanks

Just a heads up. Wallabie season is closed in the Croix or above the confluence. It’s open down stream of the confluence only.

I’ll be going by there this afternoon…if no one else replies.

There is one ramp open at Prescott. Seen a couple boats launching there yesterday.

That could be the year-round report for that area…

Im thinking about heading out there tommarow. Wish we had a everts on pool 3. The hastings bait shop sucks. Ive never fished pool 3 this early but, there are some huge walleyes in pool 3 too!

Well gave pool an honest shot today with no sucess. Tried draging, pitching jigs and blades. Wingdams, current seams, deep back water runs. We stayed away from prescott with the exception of the wingdams south of town. Anyone ever done well on pool 3 this early? Saw a few other boats out there today looked like they were moving as much as we were so I dont think anyone caught much. Milies is open into the south end of north must be 500 canadas sitting on the ice. Saw some beautiful full plumage drake buffleheads. Should have been holding a shotgun instead of a fishing rod. What ever happen to that spring canada hunt?

pool 3 can kick out some fish from time to time, but pool 4 is much better throughout the year, not just in the spring. if you have time, i would run down there and fish.

I did’nt think p4 was to crazy this weekend, after the torny ended on sat. seemed like no problem and sun. was even better for how nice it was, and it was nice out. Won’t have to start combat fishing till april. thing about p4 except for a few boats, by far the best group of fisherman anywhere. I have fished in the crowds down there everyone is great, out to have fun and hopefully catch a few fish.

i agree, was out sunday, not to bad. typically we head to the WI River and thats pretty crazy, and not to mention the experiences i’ve had people don’t even wave. p4 fisherman seem great.
