Last night coming off the river at dark, I heard a ice chunk hit the hull of the boat. I was going slow (about 20 mph). Along with that I did notice those green channel markers are almost invisible with the right background and light conditions.

Just a reminder to be careful out there and watch out for debris (and buoys).

You’ll never for get the sound of hitting a metal channel marker! Not that I know from personal experience.

But they do a number on the front of your boat according to a neighbor of mine.

That’s exactly what I thought when I realized where the marker was. “I wonder what it sounds like to hit one of those?”

I was thinking the same thing last night. I think the next time I am there I will drive next to the buoys and mark them with a way point so I know where they are in the dark. There were some big pieces of ice coming out of the backwater that I thought would do some damage. I followed a guy in last night that was really going at a pretty good clip I figured if I stayed in his path he would have broken up any ice chunk before I got there. If that was you I followed that took one for the team thanks.

Not sure if that was me. But I can tell you I was the fool at the landing trying to get that darn boat on the trailer straight (which I never did).

You will never get a crestliner straight…they bounce straight on the ride home

    25-06…
Always come in from down stream, get your nose between the cradles, adjust with the steering wheel and drive it up to the winch…VOILA!
Steve (Everts Mgr) showed that one long ago…My Crestliner is well trained now.
