    Got the go ahead for fishing on valentines day and was thinking of maiden rock or frontenac just wondering what the ice conditions are and how the walleye are biting

    I wont go out from Frontanc–Maiden rock better–no ice hevs and as much current–about 20″ on WI side and up river–its been really slow this past week–but its got to pick up again one of these days!! I might go Sunday too again

    I was out yesterday. went on at frontenak, the ice was safe you just need to go out around the point then go up the lake. the bite has been better up towards point no point. with the fresh snow you will be able to see where everybody has been driving. we only kept 5 yesterday and all five were small but i second that the bite shoukld pick up… there are alot of little fish right now…. good luck

    was just down at pepin today out of frontenak about 16 inch of ice only caught one small sauger lots of people at maiden rock
