Would you support a no wake zone on Pool 4?

I am just curious to how everyone feels about the proposed No Wake Zone from Red Wing to L&D 3.

Just curious…are Tugs/Barges also obliged to follow no wake ordinances? Seems their wakes would be a lot more damaging than a fishing boat.

Might be a bit skewed because we aren’t known to harbor tuna boat operators.

I would support a be kind to your neighbor zone. We all know it’s dangerous to fly by people. It’s like driving 80 on the interstate you get there 1 minute and 30 seconds before me. I don’t know enough about Pool 4 yet to weigh in on the no wake zone. Can someone post the pros and cons of a no wake from Red Wing to Lock 3.

Pros: I cant think of any other than for boats over 24′

Cons: one long slow ride all the way to the HWY 63 bridge in Red Wing

I think the wind plays into more damage then the boats. Can we reduce the wind?

This is where I am at. Tugs & barges and the larger boats push a terrible wake. I’m not sure how you enforce a speed limit for <22′.
