Winter closing and Spring opening of Locks ’09-’10

    1. Lock and Dam 3 will be closed to all navigation for navigation safety and embankment enhancements commencing at 0001 hrs on 7 December 2009. Lock & Dam 3 is currently scheduled to reopen at 0001 hrs on 29 March 2010

    2. Lock and Dam 5 will be closed to all navigation for a scheduled lock dewatering to complete concrete, structural repairs and gate painting commencing at 0001 hrs on 7 December 2009. Lock & Dam 5 is currently scheduled to reopen at 0001hrs on 15 March 2010.

    3. Lock and Dam 6 will be closed to all navigation for installation of bulkhead slots and covers structures commencing at 0001 hrs on 7 December 2009. Lock & Dam 6 is currently scheduled to reopen at 0001 hrs on 9 March 2010.

    4. Lock and Dam 7 will be closed to all navigation for installation of bulkhead slots and covers structures commencing at 0001 hrs on 7 December 2009. Lock & Dam 7 is currently scheduled to reopen at 0001 hrs on 9 March 2010.
