Troy Fritz, (middle) Minnesota State Chairman for Big Brothers-Big Sisters with EFN owners James Holst (left) and Steve Hougom (right).
EFN Pro-Staff Director (and past Big Brother), Dave Hoggard, introduced a EFN/BB-BS program at this January 7th. Walleye Searchers seminar. The meeting and seminar was held at the Rochester Elks Club. The seminar also included “Drop-Shotting – A Kids Rig!” fishing information and told of EFN’s growth as a up-and-coming Internet fishing information provider. The EFN/BB-BS program is an effort by EFN (the Electronic Fishing Network, owners of http://www.fishtheriver.com and http://www.fishthelake.com) to take BB-BS kids out fishing with members of EFN’s rapidly growing Pro-Staff Team and to provide pro-fishermen as role models. Fishing plans are being made to include the all six of the Minnesota BB/BS agencies.
The Owatonna BB-BS agency has 106 matches and 26 kids ages 4 to 24 on a waiting list to be matched with a “big”. A new BB/BS agency is being started in Dodge County.
