My once white yar-craft is looking quite poor these days. I use all the basic stuff plus CLR and lots of elbow grease to clean it which does an OK job. However, there are some yellow patches that I cannot for the life of me get out. Its almost like its stained or etched into the gel coat / fiber glass. Anyone have any ideas on how to get this crud off. One guy told me to use muriadic acid. Would that work? Thanks.

Dirk, I use plain old toilet bowl cleaner that you can buy at any store. I have an alumanum boat that I keep in the water all season and the scum really builds up by the time I take it out in the fall. This is what I do. Hose the boat down in sections and spray on the cleaner. Let sit for about 5 minutes. Scrub with toilet bowl brush, rinse off and continue to next section. Bad spots you might have to clean twice. No need to wipe dry. Dries showroom clean without leaving water spots. I dont know if this will work on the yellow stains, but worth a try. If you go the acid route, be sure to wear rubber gloves.

Dear Nautical Ease,
I want you to use this letter to let everyone know how well your Nautical Ease Spray Boat Cleaner worked for me.
I have a 1987 Trophy 190 Alumacraft boat that has been stored inside every winter but has set outside in the elements every day, all summer, each year. Many times, I have left it in the water for days at a time. Algae and green scum lines form on the boat sides each year. The inside vinyl seats, carpet, upholstery, and trim have become very discolored, stained, and covered with grime! I vowed that this winter I was going to restore the boat interior and install all new seats, carpet, and vinyl trim molding. And this is a huge job!
I went today to spend some time, and effort, in cleaning up the boat. I vacuumed and began to clean windows and trim with Windex. I started cleaning the vinyl interior with a commercial grade “green cleaner”, when I remembered that I had a sample bottle of the Nautical Ease Spray Boat Cleaner. I tried it. I was amazed at how well it worked. I used the hand spray bottle to mist the product over the same area I had just spent several minutes scrubbing before. The same area I covered when I was using the “green cleaner”. With only a small bit of effort (using the same scrub brush), I took off years of built-up grime and stains from the areas I had worked so hard on minutes before! It cleaned up the mess left behind! I went on to clean up the whole interior. I did mot mind as it was so easy… and fun to see the filth being rinsed away with such little scrubbing effort!
I cleaned all of the interior of my nineteen foot boat in less than thirty minutes! Not only is it clean, it looks like new! Now, I do not need to restore the interior. I even cleaned the boat bumpers, which looked so bad that I was going to buy new ones for next year! Now, they do not have a single stain or mark on them! They are like new again. The smell of your product did not bother me at all. Because it was a spray, it was real easy to work with.
I then tried to use the Spray Boat Cleaner on the hull. The hull of my boat gets real bad from sitting in alge filled water and forms a deposit of lime on it. It gets so bad that all will ever work is “Zing”. This Zing stuff is not good to breath and will burn your skin! Well, your Spray boat Cleaner took off all the film, stains, and deposits from my hull too!
I can hardly wait to try the sample of Nautical Ease “Boat Bottom Cleaner” to see if it works as well as your Spray Boat Cleaner.
You have the very best and finest cleaning product that I have seen in my 35 years of owning and operating a fishing boat. I am so glad that I got to sample your Spray Boat Cleaner.

I have been useing them on my boat this past summer and fall and have not found anything to compare to them as of yet. I would highly recomend them to anyone who wants to keep their boat nice and shiney on a timely basis. GOOD STUFF!

AnonymousGuestPosts:January 6, 2002 at 11:20 pm #236218Ive been using the Nautical Ease products for a couple years now and recommend the Spot Remover and Boat Spray Cleaner highly. Easy to use no risk of burning your skin and it flat out does the job. Water spots and mineral grime are removed with just a few drops on a rag.
January 8, 2002 at 2:03 pm #236267Well, the cat is out of the bag… I let it out at my Walleye Searchers seminar last night… the cat is …that EFN was soon to open an online store. The whole Nautical Ease product line will be there. You’ll be able to get any and all their products, right here.
I know it sounds wild… and like a infomercial, but the “N. E.” Spray Boat Cleaner is just the best! I went after them as soon as I tried their products and had such success with the Spray Boat Cleaner. They then sent samples to our whole EFN staff. I hope John Eggers gets on here and tells you about how it cleaned up his ATV. This is another fantastic story, that you’ll have a hard time swallowing… but is true. The EFN store is only weeks away from opening. You can find Natical Ease on the internet and buy from them… but if you can wait, please do. EFN is opening the store to help pay its bills and will appreciate your business! Their N. E. products will cost you no more through EFN, that direct from their N. E. site.
EFN will also have many new items “factory direct” for you to see/buy that will be available only here on EFN. And you’ll have access to many items that you will have a tough time finding the sizes, or models, or colors that you want in other markets… because EFN will be factory direct.
I am excited for the store to open!
Thanks, HawgerquicksilverPosts: 80January 10, 2002 at 2:37 pm #236330I sent for my samples of Nautical Ease Spray Boat Cleaner on the internet. You can order from their website. However, if you are not in a rush to get some, the EFN store will have it on the shelf as soon as we open the “doors”. You can order it through us right here on FTR/FTL and it will cost you no more thath if you order it from the Nautical Marine site. This way, EFN gets a comission and we get to pay some bills too. Thanks, Hawger
