pool 8- mixed bag

Fished Sunday morning for a few hours, wanted to see if I could catch a few eyes. Armed with leeches and crawlers, started on wingdams. Caught a couple short fish right away and had a few misses. noticed many tap, tap, tap. Figured it was gills, so made achange to a smaller hook. Yep, had me a blast. Tried Bret’s idea of a bobber over the dam, that was fun, especially when a bass took the bait. After catching a few gills for a meal and the fun with the bass, went back to eyes. Ending up catching two legals, while getting rocked pretty good from the pleasure boaters. It was time to go in, but sure was a fun day. good luck fishing–John

It is cool watching them bobbers float up to the face of a wing dam and then watch them disappear

I didn’t get out this weekend and I appreciate the update. I need to get after some of them gills for a fish fry.
