My wife and I boated to the Naughty Hog Friday evening. The current owner has done a great job fixing things up inside and out. The food was very good. Nice place to beach your boat and relax for a while. Awsome view and outdoor facilities. Been hitting that spot for years (Gem Bar) and its better than ever now.

I’ve stopped there 2-3 times on my way to/from Everts. Great place. Good burgers to go with the .

Decent boat launch just down street for P3.

Is that launch public now? (Meaning free and available parking.)

I didnt sit at the bar so I didnt notice any pigs feet.
I always thought that launch was public? If so only room for a few rigs to park. Maybe someone can chime in confirming whether or not it’s open to the public.

You need to be a city resident with a sticker to park there. There is no parking on any street near that launch. So, basically the launch is public, just no parking anywhere in that city. (Kinda like Bayport on the Croix) I was just wondering if that had changed?

It is a pay ramp…honor box. Season passes are available and you can park at the ramp with the pass.Daily users need to park downstream approx one block away.

Make sure someone in your party is wearing shorts.

Mr. Bassman Corey Waller and I launched out of there a couple years ago. I can’t recall how far he waded in to get to me. It could use a little up grading.

I think the DNR ramp in the WI channel is a much better launch….and it’s free.

BK, this one’s not near the back channel and I’m guessing if you were with CW, you were on MN side. Perhaps back in North Lake? You know that area better than I, but back to Diamond Bluff…..

What Dean said, you pay nominal normal launch fee, there are 2-3 spots there at ramp, additional parking is one block south. Shorter walk than some larger public ramps. I’ve launched there 2-3 times with no incident. Last year during the Hudson PWT event, many pro’s pre-fishing launched here.

Plus there’s a wing dam right there so the person launching the boat can start fishing while the truck guy parks.

BK – You must be talking about a different ramp. Dustin and I use the Diamond Bluffs ramp all the time. Just did so 3 days ago. It is a good ramp. No dock… but the shoreline is all sand so that’s no biggie. I just nose the boat up on the sand, Dustin jumps in, I pull back off the sand and off we go. No feet get wet or even touch sand for that matter if you pull up along side the skirt of the ramp.

James, I think you nailed the key word. Brian will need to hike up his SKIRT at the ramp to enter his boat so he wont get his high-heels wet.

Sorry…inside joke. I should have made that known.

It must have changed since Corey and I were out there three years ago…that’s the last time I launched there…too much of a hassle when your alone.

Suzuki…I think I need to take you out…um…night fishing.

AND…the WI back channel is closer to the Bluffs Bar and Grill!

Now tell me, does the Naughty Hog have drawn butter?

Yea sure. “Fisherman disapears on Miss while catfishing with infamous guide.”
Also I think you are giving drawn butter too much credit. You do know the amount of TP used is directly proportional to the amount of “drawn butter” injested dont you?
