Ice fished pool 9 north of Lansing today in the Becks area. Fishing was pretty slow. Relocated to pool 10 in the Ambro Slough area and caught a nice mess of good sized gills. Released two nice Largemouths, both over legal size. The highlight of the day however was a large dogfish that swam in just under the ice and parked it’s considerable ugliness across two holes and part of a third. Didn’t know whether to try to nudge him out with a rod tip or just leave and put the tent up for sale.LOL!! Anyone else try the ice today?

    Big B,

Just got back from Lansing myself. Fished along the dike sat.

Lots of small stuff. The guys with tip-ups took a few nice northern. Went to Lawrence Lake sun. morning and had only one crappie and it broke off. Nothing after that but I’m thinking with this full moon phase, it may have been a better night bite for them.

    Where is ambro slough?

Big B, fished the Bagley Area today and had little success until about an hour before dark. After fishing small jigs and shrimpos with little success I switched to a size 4 Pink Rembrandt and started catching Crappies. Seems like they didn’t want to waste their time with the small baits.

Fished north of Hwy. 82 in Pool 9 on Sunday after and caught 6 decent crappies and bluegills. Fished Spring Lake this morning and not a bite. Many people fishing there, but everyones report was the same – nothing. Quite a few people fishing Cold Springs Sunday late afternoon, heard good reports but never fished it.

Hey Herb, Ambro Slough is straight north of PdC and straight west of Greymore Lake. We saw alot of activity in the dike area east of Lansing Sunday, thought it was a good spot to be if you wanted to be home early for the ballgame, so we went on by without fishing it…..B

Stupid question here – Where is Cold Springs located?? I have seen it mentioned many times as a good spot, just don’t know where it is. Thanks.

Cold Springs is about 3 miles North of Lynxville.
