Pool 2 posts sure are quiet. Anybody give it a try last weekend? I was working around the house.

Friday afternoon we went for a walk down by the 494 access. Watched a guy try and drive his 16 foot Alumacraft onto the trailer. It took him six tries because the current kept pulling his stern around. It looked pretty hairy from where I was. The water is down about 2 feet from the last time I was down there but it’s still moving pretty good.

I sure couldn’t find them Saturday. Spent a few hours checking the usual spots, but only got into one fish. She came unglued at the boat, before I got a look at her!! Must of been a teener eye! Only saw five other boats the whole time. That current was tough, especially loading the boat. It was nice to get out on the water for the first time. I’ll try again this week-end.

Wont be long. Honestly I hope this water stays up a bit where it is now. Fish should be doing there there thing this week and will be hungry with these temps rising to where we should be. Good luck out there.

I’d like to see it stay up there as well. Without some rain and soon the bottom is going to drop out of the river and all those fun little side cut bites for big walleyes will be gone in a flash.

Got out for 2 hours on Saturday. No fish. The river is setting up really well. Some rain would be good. My wife drove the boat on the trailer…she put it right smack in the middle of the trailer on her first try…that’s my girl!!!

I’ve been on the suckiest stretch of fishing I’ve had on pool 2 in years. I’m hoping to change that this weekend.
