I’m going to stay here and hold down the fort at the Skeeter Boat Center. I do want to wish you all good luck and a Happy Easter from the Skeeter Boat Center.
April 9, 2009 at 11:57 pm #767239I was gonna hit the water tomorrow, but I just found out from Frankies that I blew a head gasket last weekend on the Yammy.
Looks like I’m out of commssion for a while. Hopefully I can get it back on the water before next weekend.

Thanks Dan, Happy Easter to you to
April 10, 2009 at 1:31 am #767269i’ll be down there bright and early. my fishing partner can’t make it now, so i have an open boat if anyone is interested. coming from hastings…
April 10, 2009 at 3:56 am #767322I don’t even want to think about how many people might have tomorrow off. I’m guessing with the weather forcast it might just be like going to valley fair. Wait in line to launch, then wait in line for a spot!
The good thing is that by the time me and the boy get down there, all you guys will be sick of fishing ( ) and it will be out turn.
Seriously though – good luck to all on Friday and remember to share the river with everyone as it will be busy.
April 10, 2009 at 5:10 am #767330walleye dan and I will be there around 6:30. looking forward to a good start to the season! Good luck all.
April 10, 2009 at 7:32 am #767334Jim & myself will be there……..FIRST time on the water for both of us this year. Sounds like it may be crowded, we’ll just sit back and watch. Besides, I’ve got a new toy to play with anyway, (not that ! !) HDS-5… at least the sonar will work. Was able to download the newest version for the HDS-5 the other night. The download for to read the Navionics & Hot Maps won’t be out ’til next week. As per a rep. at Lowrance that I spoke to on Wednesday 4-8-09.
Hope everyone has good luck——BE SAFE………..

Just a word of advice to all….There is ALOT of water that does not get fished that should. You should NEVER have to wait in-line to get into a spot, if so that spot has been and is not worth fishing granted you might pull some short fish and a few eaters. I believe the big fish will get pushed rite out of all those spots that get so much pressure. Dont be afraid to try that seam that nobody is on because you just never know which one is holding fish and which one is holding that 13lb piggie
April 10, 2009 at 10:08 am #767346I have to work.
But will be out next week.
Have a good time guy’s.April 10, 2009 at 11:50 am #767362I have to work and then family obligations for the weekend. Fishing on April 10th is like shooting fish in a barrel anyway Jesse, good advice—you sure are getting wise in your old age Good luck to everyone and everyone—play nice!
April 10, 2009 at 2:09 pm #767402Almost on my way. Think I will wait until the crowd clears later this afternoon and have the whole river almost to myself this evening and night—there is a reason the DNR boomshocking boat is not out there during the day.
