Fished pool 4 for the 4th time this fall,Mavzer never brings minnows to catch a limit,so I figured heck Ill leave the rods at home.Thats right,I got my handlining gear in the mail on Friday so gave it a shot.I would think pool 4 would be a great place to try the system out.Fished 8.00-12.00 and boated 25-30 saugers and 20 eyes (half were little cigars).8-12ft. walleyes on debuque rigs, buckshot rattle beads in front of plastic. The majorty of the sauger came off(24-26ft) baby thundersticks color didnt matter.Goes to show you put anything and there going to take it.It was a great confidence booster on the handlining.

I use a modified hand line there often. Actually, instead of the real attached to the boat, I use a catfish rod with 30# fireline, modified to meet tournament rules. Works awesome. Wears a guy out hanging on to all that lead!

8 0z, and believe it or not, 2lbs. I was introduced to this method at the Detroit River. Very effective. I have never handlined, but this is as close as you can get. I make my own spreader wires, and run two lures off of each rod. Works any time that 3 ways are working.
