    I was wondering how Lock and Dam #7 is looking this morning? I have an itch I would like to try to scratch tomorrow morning. And I am not talking about walking on water.

    There was ice on the channel last night shore to shore. Not very good ice either. The bravest only went as far as the long wall. The 2 rollers on the MN side are up about 4ft. I’d wager the flow is rolling through there.

    The WI side still had ‘some’ ice on it. It looked like garbage, and the wingdam below the info center looked to be open.

    It won’t be too long now and I’ll be pushing a boat out.

    I saw a few guys yesterday on the sand flats south of the bay below I-90 and one guy off the rock point.
