    Pat,

I was on pool 4 all day today and the bite was fantastic. I was targeting walleye in 9′ to 12′ of water and put 30+ legal eye’s in the boat today with several 21″ to 26″ fish. The best baits to go with right now if you are going to target walleye would be big plastics or hair jigs.

The sauger bite remains excellent with allmost everthing putting a few fish in the boat. Plastics, hair jigs and jigs minnows, 3-way rigs and bait. Fishing 20′ to 25′ of water should keep you busy. But if you go after the eyes go shallower. All of the walleye I boated today came of of rocks or sand flats that have direct access to deeper water.

Let us know how you did.

I will see ya on the river!

    Dustin
