    Is Alma main channel froze over? Or Belvadeer open?

    Belvadeir was frozen as of last Sunday.

    Not sure if the main channel is open by Alma, but it is very frozen on Pool 5A and 6.

    I’ve made the trip to Alma the last two weekends hoping to crawl out and catch a few saugers, but this last weekend on Saturday, a guy could have slid a small boat out and fished all of the way to the powerlines. I hit the fingerlakes instead with little luck, “little” luck. Only caught two gills over 8 in. A guy had plenty of company there.

    Thanks for the update on river and fishing conditions of pool 5. Really wish the landing in Alma would stay open more.
