Just thought I’d share An incident that happend to me last time I went out. After fishin’ the river the other day I pulled into my alley to head to my garage. on the way to my garage I noticed one of my neighbors had left a plano rod holder out by the trash can. I immediately got out of my truck as I had been thinkin’ about gettin’ on of those canisters. I grabbed It and shook it there were rods in there! I opened it an there were two St. Croix Rods older models but St. Croix’s nuntheless. I couldn’t believe that someone would throw all this away! So I went to his door as I thought he had accedentially left them by the trash or maybe his wife threw them out, whatever. I knew if I had left any of my gear out I would appreciate another fisherman bringing it back. Anyhow, I spoke with this guy and asked him if he knew about the rods by the trash and if he had meant to throw them out. To my surprise he said yes he had intended to throw them out and they were all mine if I wanted them. He said he put valuable things out from time to time as he enjoys giving people surprises. I thanked him, he replied you should have been back there yesterday I threw away the Shimano reels that went with them along with a tackle box full of lures. Apparently he forgot to put out the rods at the same time and to my fortune he did it the next day luckly I had been fishing as I only go down the alley to either get my boat or put it back. My neighbor wished me good luck and hoped the rods help me catch more fish. I thanked him again and assured him that some day I would return the favor to an unsuspecting fisherman.
