Posted this back in October, but I’m still looking for some land closer to RedWing than where I’m at right now. I know somebody said that their wife was a realtor, but I never heard anything. So, if anybody knows of any pieces of 15+acres within 15-20 miles of the river…North of Winona would be good…please let me know. Or if you know any realtors in the area have them get in touch with me please.

SteveO’s wife is a realtor and I think they might have been waiting for an inquiry from you………………you know, so there wouldn’t be any feelings of just “jumping into your stuff”. Nice people, very willing to help and pleasant to deal with. He knows the details of your post (obviously) but give them a hollar if you want to see about using her as a resource. Outside of that, I’ve been combing papers out of curiosity and if I see anything, I’ll give ya a shout.

    Beaver,

Try this site http://www.semnrealtors.com/. It has all the MLS listings for SE Mn. You can search on Land only if you want. It prompts you to enter minimum and maximum acres and the area…there are seperate Winona, LakeCity/Wabasha, Kenyon/CannonFalls/Redwing. Lacresent/Brownsville/Dresbach areas.

I entered a range of 5-400 acres in the Lake City/Wabasha with no price and see there is a 50+ undeveloped track near Thielman for 112,900 with this description “Wildlife surrounds you on this 51.8 acre parcel that borders the Zumbro River just north of Theilman. Co Rd #4 runs through the property and is located near the intersection of Co #4 and Co #13. ”

Same parameters for Winona area give a 23 acre parcel for 87,900 in Winona County with this decription “Open acreage with fantastic views of the countryside. Woodland with shagbark hickory, oak, birch, basswood, and whitetail deer and small game.”

The listing agent is part of the info you get.

At least it is a place to start…

Hey Beaver I’ve been watching the local papers but saw some of these numbers and thought I would pass them on. Elliot Realty 715-685-4570 there out of Alma WI. River Realty Inc also from Alma 715-685-4461. Wodele P.J. Reality from Nelson 715-673-4735. Edina Reality Inc from Ellsworth WI 715-273-3600. Holden Dean 715 273-3661 or 273-3066 and Thorner Real Estate 715-273-5970 or 273-5973. These last two are also from Ellsworth. I hope you find what your looking for. Maybe you might have to spring for a larger piece of land and sell off a portion like buy a 80 and sell 40 or something like that to get what you want so check out the larger chunks as the location might be perfect for you and there not making any more land so the rest is just going to go up in value. Remember talking at the Ftr get-together I got some of those garlic balls (sausages) made up so if your

going to be up this way (anywhere from Wabasha to Red Wing) let me know and maybe we can get together for some fishing or grilling. Nothing goes better with a Leinies than a Garlic Ball.

Glad to help out any way possible. I’ll keep my eyes open and if I spot anything I’ll let you know. Let me know if your planning on any trips this way. I got to get on the river soon and I’m preparing a winter beater for the river. Brother in Laws beater boat,so far two new tires,I thought I should replace wheel bearings so bought a set at fleet farm. By the time I got one set just about on I see a hairline crack in the hub. Called Cabela’s and ordered new hubs which I just got on. The other wheel bearing was froze right to the axle. I’d guess they never had any greese in a long time. The only plus is another day to rewire the lights and I’ll have a winter beater for about $125.00. It’s also named Ice Breaker so hope it doesn’t leak. The new hubs from cabelas are nice they have a grease fitting on the inside of the hub and grease goes through rear bearing through hub and out the outer bearing.Works really slick.
