St. Croix – Speed Limit.

    guess its a couple of years away… 2004 at the earliest they say… and a 20 mph at night as well…..

    my current rig can barely break the night speed limit… probably will never have a rig that will break the day one…. and I live up in the no wake area of the croix….

    I think 50 is in order. Many inland lakes have speed limits in this range, I dont see why the river shouldn’t either. The 20 at night is and excellent idea. The river will suffer more erosion with the slower speeds since some of the boats that use the croix are designed to travel at high speeds otherwise they ride low in the water hence causing more/larger wake(s). I hope they find a comprimise.. these rule changes on the river can get messy from many sides. The last thing the croix needs is another battle on its hands, lets all try to use this awesome resource we are so lucky to have the right way not the wrong.
