Had a good day on the water w/ James and my father on Monday. Big fish were elusive, but we did catch some real decent sauger and eyes. I had fished Pool 4 at the dam area twice in the winter, only verticle jigging. James pointed out few spots for us below the dam and showed us a few techniques that were new to us (it is one thing to read about a technique it is another to see it in action!). Great guy, fun day, beautiful weather, no work-how can you beat it! Thanks James!
For anyone looking to learn Pool 4 and the techniques that take fish-you can spend a lot of time on the water following the crowds, but in my opinion, spending some time in the boat with someone who knows is definately time well spent.
