Couldn’t let the whole day yesterday slip by without getting on the water so I put into the Croix and started pulling some cranks just to see what might answer. In about 5 minutes, I found a 12 1/2″ crappie wanting that white 3/8oz. Rebel Crank-R! So I rigged up another and made another pass and had a double! Again, both over 12″! So I continued knowing there wasn’t much daylight left and managed 18 crappies between 12″ and 15″. I had 125′ line out and the troller on #2 but no depth finder on. The bite disappeared with the sunset so I explored for some ‘eyes, but decided to call it day after trolling “blind” for about an hour. It was a good afternoon for the slabs!
