River is open in the Winona area with good fishing

Well got out fishing tonight for the last couple hour’s and had some great luck.The night started with a drag bite up river and glad we try this first because we never had to try anything else seem the fish were ready to play 50 yrd’s off the landing.5/16 with a ringie with a white tail seem to be the best with neon green a close second.We fished in water from 12-25 ft up and down the pockets and edges.The bite seem to be lite and you had to be on the ball to get them.I did keep some nice eater fish on this night for a good fish fry on sunday for the race go Tony Stewart.Anyway’s a few pic’s of my catch sorry was the only one around so the fish pic isnt all that great but nice fish to say the least. All fish kept on this night out were from 16-18 inches with all the big girls wich was only 2 on this night a 25 – 28 incher.So get out fishing it’s only going to get better with the dark high water yet to come.
