    Chris,

Good question. Although I have never actually fished muskies before on 2, I have had a couple run-ins over the years fishing the wingdams for walleyes…..actually come to think of it I was actually fishing white bass on both occassions that I have seen fish. I saw one very large musky that had to hit the upper 40″ class that boiled on a spinnerbait that I was burning just below the surface.
The other fish that I saw was a mid 30″ class fish that took hold of my crankbait while trolling a rip rap shoreline. She gave one good jump and out came my bomber crank.

These are the only two fish that I personally have made contact with. I thought that I would have seen more over the many years that I have fished Pool 2, but I have not been fortunate enough I guess. The DNR tells me years ago, that their were a fair number of hybrids in Pool 2 at one time.

    Good luck on your voyage.

I think someone in Crossineye’s boat landed a 40″+ fish a few weeks ago by the Highway 5 bridge. Maybe he can chime in.

It was his brother-in-law and some buddies. Right in the mouth of that creek by pike island if I recall correctly.

Yes, My brother in law’s best friend caught a 40″ fish on a Husky Jerk at the creek mouth just south of the Hwy 5 Bridge. I’ve never seen one myself.

I read where Doug Stange from In-Fisherman caught his biggest river muskie on that stretch of water.

yea earlier this spring i lost a fish that at first i thought was a northern but when i got it to the boat i could have sworn that it was a hybrid musky it was somewhere close to 40 inches and it was right along the shorline in the sewage treatment plant channel up from the 494 launch we caught alot of nice walleyes there that day too
