OK, here’s one you don’t see everyday! The photo is sent out to us by Mike Finke, one of our FTL Pro-Staffers. (He’s got a ton of other photos in the FTL Forum right now as well!) This photo is from last March and shows Masih Sarim on a guide trip on Pool 4.
Of course this fish was released immediately after the photo.

Better be careful with that pic. I think that it’s illegal to even remove them from the water. I would check cuz i sure wouldn’t wanna get caught. I bet it’s one [censored] of a ticket.

You may be correct…. If I remember correctly, there was a story going around last year about a guy who sent in a picture of a paddlefish to Outdoor News. The MN DNR tracked him down and gave him a ticket for possessing a paddlefish. Apparently, you must release them immediately. Meaning now!…not after a picture. I have never been able to comfirm if this ever took place.
I see several of the fish caught every year below the dam. They are a truly freaky looking fish!!
