Fished the top half of Pepin on Saturday. What a great day. Casting jig/minnow combos onto the rocks and caught several nice eyes including an 8 pounder. Took her picture and let her swim. Then we trolled the bouy line catching some nice sauger. Almost got swamped when two big boats came thru throwing big wakes. I know the river isn’t mine but hey can’t they slow down when the channel is full of fishing boats?

I fished at the head of the lake on Wednesday and Thursday. Had good luck in the channel between the red markers until the wind blew us out. Got some nice eater sauger. Also had good luck in the back channels at the head of the lake. A dark blue jig tipped with a fathead worked for us. Good luck and glad to see that the bite is on.
