To many things going on at once. Getting hard to manage my time and then at the end of this month we change the clocks. What to do. How is everyone else out there doing. Lots of ducks though.

Fishing just takes up time between hunting seasons. lol. Love chasing those big eyes, but a big ol swamp buck is even better. Ducks are just fun to shoot at even though lately i haven’t been able to hit any. Shoot and release. The other day I found a nice walleye floating dead. I figure about 12 pounds and it wasn’t bloated. Nice fish but i didn’t see anything wrong with it so your guess is as good as mine. tight lines, and clean shots good luck out there

Every year I think I will have this problem… Every year I am dead wrong. Come October 1, I’m perfectly content to be sitting in a tree with a pointy stick watching the big John Deere’s rolling in the beans. Once the corn starts coming off, I spend my days in a tree watching for deer and my nights oiling up the shotguns.

There’s rumors floating around (check out http://www.iowawhitetail.com) about a 200+ buck already shot this month. Even with the predicted 1/2 sized pheasant population this year, there’ll still be about half-a-million cocks killed on opening day – and if someone’s gotta do it, it might as well be me. The fish can wait until hard-water season.

I just got back from another trip to Vilas County. 3 days, 4 muskies in the boat. I got a 39, 40 and 42. If every trip was like that, I’d sell my hunting land. I`ve killed a couple of book bucks, now I`d rather catch a 50″ muskie and get in on some of that walleye and sauger action.
