It’s raining here in Rochester! Hoo – ra! There’s some standing water and water running in the gutters. And all if it is running downstream headed for a creek or drainage ditch somewhere… to end up in the Mississippi River eventually. And man did we need it!~

Let’s hope we see a bunch more over the next week or so.

    NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!
The river is just right down here on 18. Normal pool as I write this. For every 1 foot raise you get up there, we end up with a 3 foot raise and damn dirty and swift down here. Everyone thinks the river is below normal pool down here but it’s not. It’s just the fact that it has filled in so terrible that makes it look low. Sorry buddy, but I for one hope you don’t see a lot of rain.
Oh well, Mother Nature will do what she wants anyway.

I have only had to mow the lawn once in the last 5-6 weeks!! Nice break from the every 3-4 day routine. Dead grass = more time on the water!

Sorry Herbie! It’s raining again. Don’t despair though… the grounds so dry we’ll need alot more rain than we’ll see today to do anything to the river.

On a side note… I HATE low water! Whatcha’ thinkin’ man?!…lol

    Herbie?! Geeeezzzzzzz
Actually, we can all use some rain, just not the gully washers we usually get after a long dry spell that just run off to the river cause the ground is so dry and hard packed.
In fact we got some last night, just enough to displace the dust on my windshield.

Please let it rain enough to raise pools 9 & 10 about a foot or so, so us duck hunters can get around in those backwater spots.
