Took the daughter and son inlaw out Sunday for some panfishing. What a riot. Thank goodness daughter is married poor Lance was doing nothing but unhooking fish. She can take off the light hooked ones but the deeper ones she has a hard time. Heather would pull one in, lance would give her his rod while he unhooked her fish and rebaited if needed. By the time he got it off she had another one on. I was sitting up front having a great time. I actually felt sorry for Lance so I took up duties next to Heather to give him a chance to fish.

6 to 10 feet of water off of steep drops with some type of structure weeds, logs, rock, etc. with shallower flats next to the drop. Bobbers would not work light split shot on bottom was the ticket.

We went thru 3 dozen crawlers in 5 hours using a 1/4 of a crawler, we quit cause we ran out of bait. I think Lance was getting tired. Heather and I were ready to boat up to the bait shop to pick up more bait.

Only kept a dozen Bluegills which I cleaned for Lance and Heather. I never seen a guy so wiped out from unhooking fish.

Sorry no picks forgot the darn camera.

Sounds like you might have been on the Black portion of 8. The humps on the Black are teaming with fish this time of year. Last week the perch and crappies were taking a Swedish pimple with a minnow head off the deeper ends of the humps.
The wing dams on the main channel are offering some bull gills right now also.

Nice report, sounds like there was some fun in the boat

We were on the Blackriver for a while the bite so good we thought we would try different areas. Gave Lance a break.

We also hit the gravel pits. We had a mixed bag down there some short walleyes, largemouth and 2 channel cats that went over 5# what fun on ultra light panfish rigs. The gills were on a terror down there too. Follow the sharp break around the edge in 6 to 10 feet of water .

Tom, Thanks for the report. If you have a digital camera I would love to see some pics next time. The kids would probably love seeing their pics on the internet.
    Thanks, Bill
