After 3 hours of fishing the full moon on Mille Lacs this past Sunday evening the sonar screen on my locator went blank. The GPS portion of the locator seems to work fine. The transducer does not seem to be damaged in anyway, yet the sonar still does not work. I have verified that the locator is receiving power.

Does anyone have any ideas of what may be wrong or how I would go about getting it fixed?

    Thanks in advance,

    Jerry,

Sorry to hear this. But I recall a discussion on http://www.walleyecentral.com’s dicussion board in their general discussion area and several people have had similair problem with their units. It seems as though these people had to send their unit away to be repaired by Lowrance. I do not know if you have the same problem, but it is worth the effort to look back and see what info was given out. I want to say it was about 1-1/2-2 weeks ago.

    Sorry,

    Good Luck

My uncle just had his completely gone through by Lawrance-$195.00. They did keep his coordinates intact. My dad has been having problems with his as well and may have to send his in. Both units are 7 and 5 years old though-not too bad.
