Son and I are planning a trip up to Lansing this thursday or friday. Never fished it before. Where is a good landing to use? Any good fishing spots anyone would like to share for walleyes? Any info would be helpful. Thanx guys

There is a landing just south of lansing and also right across the bridge. They are picking up some eyes on the “S” curve by the lansing bridge drifting with a black jig tipped with a night crawler. That is also a good spot to troll. The area is also loaded with wing dams to fish so dont rule them out.Trolling the backwaters right now is really producing some nice eyes for my boat also.

I agree with Tony P. I picked up some eater eyes on the S curve and a wingdam last Saturday. I was using crawlers with a spinner on the bottom just drifting in about 6-12 foot of water and picking up one or two on each drift. Alot of boat traffic on the weekend. Thurs and Friday should be better but it’s still a Holiday week.
Thanks to all you who’ve served and protect our Great Country! I salute you!!!!

We made it on the water around 6:30am. Went to the S curves. First pass trolling JSR5 crawdad color, I hooked into a 15″ sauger . I told the son, this looks like it could be a productive day. Made some more passes and hooked into a 10″ sauger. Put it back. Trolled some more and nothing. We then switched to jigs. I had my tipped with leech and the son tried crawlers. First drift I hooked into a 19″ sauger On another drift I hooked a 16″ sauger . Saw a few other fish being caught by others. We went and checked out some other areas and ended up coming back to the S curves before we decide to head home. Made another pass drifting and I hooked into something big, I was saying I got a big walleye on, wasn’t coming up and every now and then it would give me a head shake. Finally got it up and into the net. It was the biggest bullhead I have ever caught Didn’t measure it, but it was at least 12″ and fat and healthy. All-in-all, we had a fun day on the water and came home with 3 eater saugers Also, NO GRASS coming down
