Does anybody know what hours lock and dam 3 is open? I am thinking of fishing pool #3 tomorrow evening and the last thing I want to do is get stuck up there overnight. I checked the Corp. website and didn’t find anything.
Also, they are open weekends, aren’t they???

Good question Lenny, although I don’t have the answer your looking for, don’t barges run 24 x 7? Maybe they limit “pleasure” boating hours?
Just to be safe, why don’t you put in at the bluff landing?

They run 24 – 7 only bad thing is if you get behind a double lock ( big barge that takes to cycles to get through ) may take up to an hour to hour and a half to get through. If you have a marine radio you can hale the lock to find out whats coming trough the lock and what the wait time is if any..
