Just wanted to share a picture of a 38″ northern my wife caught (and released)on pool 4 last weekend. Her previous big fish was a 3 lb largemouth, so this was quite exciting for her. I’m starting to convert her from a shopper to a fisherperson.

Nice fish, Kinda neat that your wife wasn’t afraid to hold the fish. Your pic reminds me I gotta stop fishing those green little fish and go after some toothy critters. 
What a great catch and a great photo to boot!!! These moments frozen in time are extra special when it’s a favorite past time combined with your favorite people! I hope you have many more just like this one!
BTW, anyone else notice the underbite on that fish? If that bottom lip stuck out anymore I might’ve thought it pouting!

That is definately a nice fish, but it’s an even better photo, the way she’s holding the fish, everything centered in the picture, perfect distance from the camera, I only wish the people I fished with could take pictures like that.

Nice! What is that , about 10 or12 lb.?
We didn’t weigh it, my conversion chart listed 14 lbs, it was a very thick fish, so I estimated 14-15 lbs.
Beautiful pic and fish,. Hope she fought good. I dont care what they say, a 10plus northern is a great fish. FISHINFOOL.
