—– is six inchs. Help me ? I have the decoys ready the boat is almost ready need to finish the blind. Dog is ready. Have gear need a spot to go catdamn I know where you live so dont give me that “You need to get a good map” I know that just help on finding a good area where a guy can decoy ducks. I hope my frustration isnt showing. If any one knows of a place to rent that has a yard and my dog can be there around redwing let me know? Talk to you later thanks for the help.

I wish I could help more. I’m heading to SD for the opener this weekend. I haven’t been out scouting at all so I’m gonna wing it and hope for the best. I’ve got several public spots to hunt and couple private, depending whether someone else has beaten me to the punch.

Have you gotten the public hunting area maps they are selling at Gander?? I don’ think it’s a great map, but might give you some ideas.

If you drive alittle further south you would be able to hunt the tiffany and witman dam areas. Just full of nice potholes and backwaters. With a good map like me you can see holes that no one else can see.

Just to warn you, a guy in my office building was hunting central Iowa last weekend for our opener and when they returned to the parking lot, someone had dumped several boxes of nails in the gravel around the trucks. They had been there all night and figured that it had been done sometime after they got there, since there were no nails under any of the trucks that had been there the night before.

You might think that global events in recent weeks might have convinced eco-sabatuers at home to lay off, but apparently it was just too much to ask for.
