rich pannell, thompson,il. was fishing a wingdam this morning in pool #14 when this 48 inch monster inhaled his crawler/phelps floater rig.good thing he had 8lb fireline on that rod!it bottomed out my 50 pound scale and looked to me to be around 60 lbs.anybody know what a 4 footer should weigh? he released it after i met them at the boatramp.he was fishing with joe shrader who has a big livewell in his ranger boat. it appeared to be in great shape and swam away with no problem.

According to the fish calculator at bassresource.com, it figures it would way approximately: 53.452799999999996 lbs.
It would help if we had the girth.

ya…i would guess a hair above 50lbs. My rule of thumb (though it is NOT very accurate ) Once ya hit 45″…..each inch after is 1+ lbs. But then again, this year i have caught a 42″ weighing 40lbs and a 41″ weighing less than 35lbs

NICE FISH~~~~~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!! especially on 8lb line!!
