Yup, sure would. John’s my pip-squeak little brother! How do you know him?

There is another John Holst living in Brownsdale. I asked you last year if you knew a John Holst and of course you said he was your brother. The next time John came to my shop I mentioned you and he told me he had no brother named James. Now things make sense….all this time I thought he just wouldn’t ADMIT to being your brother. haha

Now that stings a bit! You just wait til I catch up with you on Mille Lacs Lake in the dark in 3′ waves. Then I’ll have ya’ in my element (Evil Grin!!)

Yup, I can see I’m in trouble now. I was hoping for calm water. Does that ever happen on Mille Lacs? I’ve tried night fishing before usually with disastrous results and this is my first ever time fishing that lake when it ain’t froze. You may get some good entertainment by just sitting back a safe distance and watching!

A bug fart in the woods on the west shore sends 2 footers crashing on Big Point to the east!! She’s rarely calm. But anything can happen and I have seen the lake absolutely flat calm at night…. but I hate those conditions as fishing success noticeably suffers. I like 1.5 ‘ -2’ footers and a S -SE-SW wind with patchy high clouds.

Sometimes it actually works out that way too!

Beware the big, black crestliner landlubber….LOL

Sure you would hope for a SE wind when we are staying on the NW part of the lake! Also if a bug fart causes 2ft waves…..well you are in deep trouble if you are fishing across the lake from me. Check your bilge pump

That NW corner is my favorite. Good choice. Actually I think we should make you sleep on one side of the lake, and your brother on the other. You two would cancel each other out.>>HAHAHA

Don’t forget your flyrod and a bunch of 5X tippet material. Those walleye are awful spooky in that clear water.
