Stripped bass, White bass…or whatever you want to call them are on fire at the P4 dam.
For those of you that like a fast bite for kids, or just like fishing these fighters…now is the time to cash in on them!
On the wing dams or all over. They sure are a blast on a fly rod with a streamer. Hope to get out this week. Thanks.
What pool you guys fishing if you don’t mind me asking?
They are going good on the upper croix also. Just look for slack water areas and openings to the back waters. Floating raps worked good.
Sorry I haven’t been back here for a few days…
They’ve been catching them up by the wingdams at the POOL 4 dam…but yeasterday, I spoke with a couple anglers that said they were all over (meaning from the dam to the head of Lake Pepin).
The dam of Pool 4 is located just north of Red Wing, MN about 45 minutes South the St Paul.
I should have taken some photo’s of these fish…very nice size to them…mostly above 2 pounds…at least the fish I saw.
