Pelicans

    A sure sign of fall…saw quite a large group of pelicans in the Alma area last night. They, along with some gulls, were feasting on shad in the shallows. Does anyone know how far north they go to nest?

    I remember seeing them on Lake of the woods several years ago. We’ve got around 6 or 7 hundred feeding in the Lake Odessa area in se Ia. right now, so I beleive there is really no specific nesting area for them.
