Boat Wakes

You guys are thinking too big. Gotta go for something that was designed to be mounted on a boat, like the Phalanx gun (or, US Navy Close In Weapons System CIWS).

Firing rate is nothing short of unholy. The guns are designed to shoot down suicide boats and even incoming missiles (with a rifle? yup, when it’s this one!). Somewhere on the web there is a video of it vaporizing a small drone boat during initial test; one about the size of those Mississippi cruisers.

I wonder if there is an adapter so I can mount that Phalanx to my front pedastal base. I’d like to see the looks on the yaht boys faces when that thing starts to track them.

Steve’s post explains the cruiser problem as well as anyone could. I always thought if I was diagnosed with a terminal illness my last act in life would be to sit on a river bluff and blast cruisers as they go by. But, I guess that is a little insane.

Anyway, I wanted to ask Steve if he has ever raised this issue with the DNR or Coast Guard, and, if so what their response was.

    Thanks

They always seem to watch as they go by me like they want to see how bad I get bounced around etc. from their big bad wakes. But I got smart and had some ”Smooth Moves” Seat Mounts put in my boat and boy do they help alot. Hate to spoil their fun but enough is enough if you know what I mean. Thanks, Bill
