Pepin Bass

    Yesterday, 9/2, I went to Pepin to fish anything with fins. I tried for eyes til 10AM then casted the rip rap below Lake City for bass. We caught a dozen smalllies all over 2lbs and one about 4. The shock was we caught two nice largemouth that far above the river. All the fish we caught related to the weed growth clumps near the shore. Is it unusual to find largemouth this far above Reeds Landing?

    There is not as many largemouth in Pepin as there is smallmouth but I have caught some big largemouth while fishing for smallies by accident.
