yep the draft is going!! first pick was James… (hmmmm funny huh? ohhhhh that was Edgerin James… eye sea!!)…

then Mavz opted to let the server make his first pick… so he got M. Faulk… so I guess hes not hurting either!

geeeee will you look at this? the pups team picks LAST… now how could THAT have happened?? *grin*

NOOOOOO really…. just cuz Im the commish… I really have NO input on draft order!! LOL… REALLY!!!

I got there a couple minutes to late but that was a great pick by the computer…… I would have most likely have screwed it up……. maybe I should pick let them pick the whole thing……..

well…. M. Faulk was a good pick, thats for sure… and Im sure you would not have messed up! with first round picks… well… expectations are soooo high they almost never can live up to them…. it seems most of my first picks have been “busts” over the years….

still particularly in later rounds I would make an effort to make my own picks… the server can get a bit strange about giving you yet another great Running back when you already have 2 starters and have not Quarterback or something… because its basically a “bargain hunter”…. and does not consider startling lineup stratedgy…..

OK, I’ve been flying by the seat of my pants all day and I got lucky for the first round but c’mon guys! Pay attention! Now that I understand what’s going on, let’s keep that thing rockin’! Twice now, I’ve seen someone make a pick and the pick gets back to them in less than 15 minutes and they autodraft! If you’re close to the possibility of the pick coming back quick, check on it for cryin’ out loud! LOL!

Look at me, the season hasn’t even started and I’m already wound up and barking up a storm! Riv, maybe this wasn’t a good idea for a pooch! :O)……………………….ahhhhh, I get it!!! Wind me up, grab shock collar, hey boy, wanna play??? Ahh hahh…………………I’m late, but I see it all now! Clever!!! :O)

Down boy!!!!!!!!!LOL The draft seems to be going pretty good so far. I read today that some leagues took 21 days to draft!!!!! River eyes did a great job of limiting the picks to 1 hour per team. Thanks again river eyes. Let’s have a good time.

gonzoles is a good tight end pick though. He should do more good than harm to your efforts.

you think that was bad? In another of these leauges that Im in.. the server decided I should take the first kicker….. and it gave me Longwell!! just because he was good last year? no way he repeats….. and I REALLY needed some positional players that I now got shutout of……!

the server in general does an ok job… but the farther down the draft you go the stranger its picks can be…. I guess it DOES look at what positions you need…. BUT Ive NEVER drafted a kicker in the 7th round in my life!! but in THAT league I just did…..

so just a word of warning… USE YOUR DRAFT CARDS!

Where do you find who you start? I take it that you start 2 runningacks, 2 recievers, 1tightend, kicker, 2 qb’s, defensive team. Is there anything else??

you got it right… except you only start ONE QB……..

once the draft is complete it will auto assign a starting lineup for you… but for SURE I recomend you change it.. most likely it will do something weird……

everyone seems to be doing a good job on the draft…. this is the 5th league Im in… its the smallest… yet toughest draft…..

Mav, Gonzales is not a reach at all. You will find as the season progesses, that he is Trent Greens favorite receiver.(in the new [censored] Vermeil offense) I live in Cheifs town, and he is probably the best TE in the game today. He will serve you quite well.

hmmmmm as the owner of Freddie Jones…. Im entitled to make you an offer…. Jones for Gonzales even up… since you feel that strongly, I would hate to see you unhappy!!

no….. I wasted a high pick on the best tightend in the game when I could have settled for Jones WAY down the line” I just wish I would have drafted someone else besides him at that s[pot

yeah… the server is not perfect… but I would bet all of us have some players we wonder about.. I know I do… apparently my draft card went dry by the end and I have a few guys I can see that will be EASY to cut so I can pick up some unknown hotshot that steps up and plays well…… as for where the server took Gonzales… I was in 5 drafts and I doubt he ever went lower than where you took him… and Freddie is NOT an unknown either… and he has went high also… usually 3rd or 4th round…. but….. I hear you….

I think one thing the draft card really lacks is the ability to request draft at LEAST a position….. in another league the server gave me Ryan Longwell (*ick*!!!) during a round that I wanted to get either a RB or WR……… and it took Longwell as the NUMBER ONE kicker taken!!!?????? you gotta be kidding…… there are at least 6 options better than that…

anyway the draft is done…. when I get a chance I will post the teams starting lineups here…. just to open us to public riducule!!! lol

mavz… I think you may have the concept of fantasy football wrong… ummmmm your supposed to root for YOUR team… not your OPPONENTS!!! *sheese*………..

well… we have not set up any “formal” agreements for what winners get……. if the commish wasnt so lazy he maybe would have rounded up some sponsors or something, for prizes… now who is that lazy….. oh… yeah… its me…. *sigh*

I think that the bottom six guys in the league should have to take out the top six guys on a fishing outing…. how does that sound?? that leaves one guy in the middle of the pack that get’s to go with the last place and first place guy…… how does that sound?? let’s decide something before the fisrt game…..
