My wife and I just got back from almost a week of fishing on Lake Pepin. I noticed one thing about the tournament fishermen. They were all friendly and all asked how was our fishing and did we get any walleyes waasn’t that nice of them? Anyway, we had a good time and caught our limit of white bass which was our goal. The schools didn’t cooperate as they used to. They would only be “up” for a few seconds and then gone. The best success came from running a really shallow shad-rap and one that runs about 4 feet down, trolled about 3mph. Ususlly the break lines produced the best for us. By the way what won the tournament? I didn’t see any of the “pre-fisherman” catching anything.

Airpart, I was at Evert’s covering for Dean while he fished the tourney.

I believe the standings are posted in the Tourney HQ forum.

40 some odd pound won…with about 100 boats bringing in a goose egg…it was tough fishing to say the least…

However some were bringing in some DANDY crappies in the 15 inch range! Not sure where though.
