I am new to the whole bass scene and I was going to put the boat in tomorrow on the mississippi.I have already been out a few times this year, and tried some bass fishing with no luck. I was wondering if anybody had any advice on where and how to catch them this time of year.I just got a boat and is my first one.I have only fished lakes and i guess i just dont know how to catch them on the river.Im also not used to fishing this time of year, Any tips on how to catch them would be appreciated, and some locations to look for im on pool 16. Thanks and best of luck……

I would go buy a bitsy bug and tril it with a peice of pork. Toss it in the backwaters into bushes. If you have access to deep water immediately in the area you should get bit.

I like black and blue. Gander had these for .50 around Christmas so I bought a bunch. They are really good all around jigs.
