Hit pool 2 both Saturday and Sunday 3/22-23. Saturday was very slow and pressure was high. Sunday was much improved. Boated aroiund 14 walleyes, most in the 1 1/2 lbs to 2 1/2 lb range. No huge fish. Most came from 18 to 22 ft range on channel edge above the 494 bridge. Hit the warm water discharge area below the St. Paul waterworks, temp was 58 deg there and 38 in the channel! A couple of guys were casting rattle traps for large carp that were really jumping on them. We took about 4 walleyes from 15 to 18″ in 22 feet. None came on casting to the shallower areas. At least it was good to actually feel a walleye bite a jig!
