Red Wing Ramp & Lake Pepin Ice Updates

    Colvill – The small ramp just inside the park entrance is open but the main ramp to the east is not yet.

    Bay Point – Still a ton of ice in the bay but the ice is now moving away from shore, when that happens the ice goes fairly fast.

    Lake Pepin – For ice measurment reports go to: http://www.mvp.usace.army.mil/ and click on Lake Pepin Ice Measurements. For a point of reference the mile markers are listed in the report. To help with location use the following mile markers list as reference:

    Bottom of Lake Pepin 764
    City of Pepin 767
    Lake City 772
    Maiden Rock 776
    Point No Point 779
    Wacouta Point 784

    Was down there fishing yesterday. About a foot to 18″, depending where you are in the marina. Everything is slow. Crappies are not hitting (after talking to several individuals), and the Pike must have moved on.

    Anyone been out ice fishing around Stockholm WI. Just thinking that the point that sticks out down there may be a good spot to try this weekend. Steve
